The final World Rally Car-spec Subaru Impreza has left Prodrive's base in Banbury, en-route to its new owner.
'WRC2008-011' has been built to the same spec of the SWRT team's works cars, which were driven by Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson during a short campaign in 2008. Solberg scored the best finish for the car on its debut event, 2nd on the Acropolis Rally.
Oddly, the car that Prodrive built just before this car was built was from 1997. WRC97-001 was completely restored by Prodrive for a customer who owned the car.
To make this event, the cars were presented outside Prodrive's Banbury base, where both cars, spanning 12 years in technology, were sat side-by-side outside the HQ.
