Guy Wilks will start tomorrows Rally d'Italia-Sardegna in a 'new' Skoda Fabia S2000.
The 29-yr-old Briton will be behind the wheel of Jan Kopeckey's car from the first two rounds of the Italian National Rally Championship. Wilks could of driven the event in the same car he started the year in but, Wilks' mechanics have spent the time between Rally Isla Canarias and the Rally d'Italia-Sardgena wisely, readying the new car for the event.
“We’ve had a bit of bad luck on this event with mechanical problems [in the past] because the event can be quite tough on the car,” commented Wilks.
The ceremonial start of the rally will be televised live on Eurosport tomorrow evening. SS2 (8:30 – 9:40) & SS4 (12:00 – 13:00) will be broadcast live on Saturday. On Sunday, SS8 (8:30 – 9:45) & SS10 (11:45 – 12:45) will be live. Next Tuesday the rally highlights will be showen on Eurosport from 11:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
