Skoda and it's two main drivers Juho Hanninen and Jan Kopecky have confirmed their entries to the Rali Vinho Maderia.
Skoda were originally not to contest the event, but they decided to enter the on the back of the Rally Azores, where Hanninen punctured the front-right wheel on the penultimate stage and Kopecky crashed out of the event on the final stage.
However, Hanninen and Kopecky wont just have Kris Meeke and Bruno Magalhaes to contend with, because former IRC Champion and three-times Rali Maderia winner Giandomenico Basso is rumored to be entering the event.
Basso is rumored to be entering the event with works-backing. Basso left the IRC at the end of last year after competing eight events, to concentrate on the European Rally Championship, which he won for the second time.
Another driver sure to cause a few problems for the Skoda and Peugeot drivers is Freddy Loix. Loix, who won his sixth Ypres Rally last month, will be entered by Skoda on the event.
Andreas Mikkensen won't be present at the Portuguese event, as it isn't part of his calender.
